YES, for Josefina...but then, well, when AG doesn't issue anything new for her for 3 years it wasn't so hard to do. Yes, I do have the exclusive piano and farm for her as well, they were special treats to myself last year after ebay selling!

Almost done with Kit except for her dishes and the latest scooter set.

I love all of our collections (or portions thereof), but just hoping I can come up with better ways to display them in our new house. Unfortunately, we are downsizing (? huh ?), so I really need to get creative in our new space!

I have everything so then to her Birthday..and so on and so on. The only thing is that after the core collection I collect in order of when her stuff came out. I have all her outfits with the exception of her Bicycle Riding one. I have a checklist of everything for her and the year it came out. This was I remain organized. It is kinda like a sport for me. <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I do the same sort of thing that you do. For example, the only thing from Molly's Christmas collection I don't have is her Christmas Box, so I would get that and then move onto Molly's Birthday collection and see what things I am missing.

I do, I have Josefina's complete collection. I bought her complete collection when it was released, so I have the piano and everything. I just bought her hair ribbons and socks and shoes (not included originally) and piece by piece I have gotten the harvest outfit. I really did buy each piece separately, lol. The other girls have large collections, but nowhere near complete.

All I have left to get for Kirsten is her trunk. I have the money, but I want to pick it out myself from AGPLA when it opens. I've been collecting Kirsten the longest- since the company began- so it's really meaningful to me to go finish her collection in person at the new store. Of course, there's always the hope I'll never really be *done* since hopefully they'll generate new outfits and such.

None of the others will get complete collections. I would do it for Felicity but I don't like all her new items, I have limited space, and some of the retired items I don't have (like the Plantation Play set) I'm not willing to pay $150+ for. I used to try for complete collections but it kind of took the joy out of collecting for me. I was buying stuff I didn't totally love just to finish the collection, and was stressing out about retirements. It's more fun for me this way- I just buy what I like when I want it.

I do keep monster lists though (on Excel- I'm such a dork) for insurance purposes. It's amazing how much the stuff is worth if you have retired or PM items and you have a lot of dolls and their stuff.

Though I don't have a complete collection yet, I am closest to finishing Molly's. And I would really like to get caught up before there's a massive release of new stuff for her if the movie comes out in the fall.

I need Molly's Party Games, Shoes& socks, Adirondack Chair and now her Roller Skating Outfit (I don't think I'll get the turquoise skates because she'll have a pair with her party games).

It was actually my New Year's Resolution to finish her collection as it was at the first of the year. It may be one resolution I actually keep

I've been working on her collection since I first got her back when I turned 11. Slow and steady wins the race, I guess. The hardest thing for me to get was her Winter Accessories (aka sick kit). It took me pretty much a year of ebay watching, bidding and losing to get it at a reasonable price. How I wish I wasn't in my high school, 'I'm too busy and need college money' stage of life when it was available. I could have saved $20 bucks and a whole lot of ebay heartbreak.

My method now is to tuck a few dollars away here and there in my own little AG Fund can. And I pretty much only order when there is some sort of incentive, like free shipping, 10% or a sale item (even better when there's a sale item I want and a code). If I didn't do so, I wouldn't be able to buy any AG, but maybe once a year if I was lucky. As some said in a different post, I try to make the most of my money. It does sort of become a game.

Good luck with your collection...and as my signature says below, "Molly Collectors Unite!"

We don't have any complete historical collections and probably never will. We do have all of Kailey's collection, Jess' starter collection, and all of Marisol's except for the spotlight outfit and stage.

Kirsten is the only doll that I am actively collecting for. I have most of her retired outfits (awaiting Drindl from Texas mom) and then just the skating coat to go.

I buy little things when I have some extra cash. I am working on her in small collections.

Winter collection - COMPLETE
Spring/birthday - Have two-tone boots
Summer - Have red boots
School -
Christmas -
Bedtime -

That way I can make displays of her as the seasons change. The most expensive on will the birthday with the table and chairs, food etc.

Once I am done the "mini" collections I will only be missing the trunk. This will TAKE YEARS. The hubby has me on a tight spending leash right now

Can there really be any method to completing a collection besides having lots of money? I guess tips or tricks would just be ways to make or save money. it just depends how much of a priority that collection is in your life if you don't have a lot of disposable income. Would you rather eat out and see a movie or save money for your dolls by eating at home and borrowing a movie from the library? Do you really need another pair of shoes or would you rather an outfit for your doll? If you do have lots of disposable income, buying collections in chunks is a good way. Though not as good as it used to be since there aren't a lot of collection discounts anymore.

Nowhere close. Nowhere close to completing anyone's collection. I have the most outfits for Molly and Samantha at the moment, and the most furniture for Kit. Someday I'll have a complete or near complete collection.

I do have complete collections but that's only because I've been collecting for so long (since AG started 20 years ago). I feel incredibly lucky to have what I do and--confession time--hardly a day goes by when I don't spend at least some of it with "my girls".

I'm really hoping AG will do something special this fall for the 20th anniversary, for instance re-release at least one retired item for each doll. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
